The new C2.0 centric clamping fixture from GRESSEL features innovative practical details and supports the entry into digitalized clamping technology.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At AMB 2022 in Stuttgart, GRESSEL AG, the Swiss specialist for workpiece clamping technology and automation of machining production, presented the new C2.0 centric clamping system. The first generation of the C2.0 has been used many thousands of times and has proven itself worldwide as an all-round solution for clamping challenges in everyday production. The C2.0 version once again sets standards in functionality, user-friendliness, flexibility of use and durability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GRESSEL has further enhanced the high performance, in the form of the closed system, the backlash-free preloaded ball bearing spindle, the large clamping range, the individually high clamping force as well as the high long-term precision and the easy handling, with numerous features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A nickel-coated base body ensures even longer service life, and thanks to just two screws, jaw replacement is quick and easy. The C2.0 is compatible with all system jaws of the GRESSEL basic program and can be quickly converted to larger spans. Grip and smooth clamping allows handling and time-saving first and second side machining in just one setup. It features a refined design as well as a recessed hexagon for reduced interfering edges and optimum accessibility for 5-axis complete machining, and laser scales on the base body for easy, secure jaw positioning, and on the reversible jaws for even easier workpiece positioning. The marking of the jaw end positions for easy cleaning and maintenance complete the list.<\/p>\n\n\n

The new C2.0 centric clamping system offers individual clamping forces of up to 25 kilonewtons (C2.0 80…), up to 35 kilonewtons (C2.0 125…) or up to 50 kilonewtons (C2.0 160…), depending on the size. The clamping ranges are 0 to 120 millimeters for the C2.0 80 L-130 centric clamp, 0 to 185 millimeters for the C2.0 80 L-190, 0 to 163 millimeters for the C2.0 125 L-160, 0 to 226 millimeters for the C2.0 125 L-235, 0 to 303 millimeters for the C2.0 125 L-300, 0 to 251 millimeters for the C2.0 160 L-280 and 16 to 462 millimeters for the C2.0 160 L-480. With this, as well as with the modular compatibility and the system jaws, a very wide field of applications can be covered with standard components. Finally, the fitted slides also ensure the required clamping precision and, furthermore, maximum machining accuracy. The repeatability is +\/- 0.01 for C2.0 centric clamps in sizes 80 and 125 and +\/- 0.015 for size 160. All components of the new C2.0 centric clamping fixture are compatible with the predecessor variants. This means that existing centric clamps can be combined with new centric clamps as required and in a cost-saving manner, and can be successively replaced if new ones are needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
