From the workbench vice to milling machine automation
GRESSEL AG was founded in 1923 as a mechanical workshop. In 1933, the first workbench vice was created and started a success story With the high-pressure tensioner launched in 1965, the company succeeded in gaining access to industrial production, and subsequently the medium-sized company repeatedly caused a sensation in the industry “in terms of tensioning technology”. Since mid-2014, GRESSEL AG has been part of SCHUNK SE & Co.KG from Lauffen / Neckar. SCHUNK is the competence leader for gripping systems and clamping technology. More than 3,500 employees in eight plants and 35 own national companies ensure an intensive market presence. With over 11,000 standard components, SCHUNK offers the world’s largest range of gripping systems and clamping technology from a single source.

Our goal is to achieve a strategically high vertical range of manufacture at the Aadorf site. As a result, we place a high value on modern machines and tools in our operation. Our core competencies include complete machining (3-, 4- and 5-axis) with clever clamping solutions, profile and surface grinding, turning of complex and fist-sized parts, assembly and laser marking.

Energy from the sun: our photovoltaic system
We rely on the power of the sun! Our modern photovoltaic system covers a large part of our energy requirements with clean, renewable electricity. This not only reduces our CO2 footprint, but also creates a sustainable basis for our production.
Digital instead of printed:
Paper consumption minimized
Where we used to print, we now rely on digital processes. The deliberate avoidance of unnecessary paper consumption saves valuable resources and ensures that our work processes are more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Environmentally friendly packaging
Our products are supplied in environmentally friendly packaging. We use recyclable materials and minimize the use of plastic. Because for us, sustainability does not end at the production line, but extends into the hands of our customers. Plastic packaging from ROSE-Plastic is made from PCR plastics. PCR stands for Post-Consumer-Recycled – a plastic that is made from consumer waste. Other packaging is made of cardboard or wood.

Quality and durability are the cornerstones of our products. Our solutions are designed to last for several generations. This saves resources, reduces waste and protects the environment in the long term.

We produce the GRESSEL product range in-house. From single parts to complex clamping solutions. There are hardly any limits to the complexity of the tasks set. With a machine park that leaves nothing to be desired, even the most demanding products and solutions can be produced on schedule.
