Single clamp solinos
The clamping force of the solinos single clamp is 12-40 kN. For workpiece blank clamping we clearly recommend our GRESSEL grip jaws, selectable in different heights. For finished part clamping, we suggest our GRESSEL Tungsten Carbide coated jaws, as here the coefficient of friction can be increased by 2.5 times.
The maximum clamping ranges are 122-243 mm. The smaller clamping range is realized with jaws that are screwed on vertically. To exploit the maximum clamping range, there is a range of jaws that can be used horizontally.
The jaw widths 65 and 100 mm can be operated hydraulically. If you need something larger, our machine vice gripos is also available in 125 and 160 mm jaw width as a hydraulic version. The entire stroke can be easily adjusted mechanically. With hydraulic stroke, we always have 3-5 mm clamping stroke. All our hydraulic clamping devices are equipped with a mechanical spring return and can be easily operated with our pneumohydraulic pressure booster. Simple design and ideal for those who do not want to invest in an expensive and large hydraulic power unit.
The GRESSEL warranty is generally 24 months or 50,000 clamping cycles. However, experience shows us that our clamping devices last much longer. Due to our close customer proximity on site, technical support can also always be guaranteed.
No, the spindle has a protected structure and therefore no special maintenance is required. Only in case of longer storage outside the machine, we recommend oiling the guideways with some machine oil.
5-axis clamping vise SC5X
The basic clamping stroke is 130mm without spindle conversion by an extension. This allows a very quick adjustment of the clamping range without losing much time for a spindle change. Together with our quick-change jaws, this is ideal for flexible and easy-to-use component production.
The blank stress is 50 kN and the precision stress is 40 kN (34 kN for the low SC5X version). We recommend taking a look at our extensive quick-change baking range. Here we have all sizes and gradations to adjust very well to the component size and nature of the component. Our experts will be happy to advise you to find the optimal solution.
The clamping force behaves linearly, the force build-up occurs directly without force amplifier by means of torque. The clamping force can be selected via the clamping force diagram and set via the torque wrench.
Yes, this can be implemented in this way without any concerns. However, there is one point to pay attention to: When the tensioner reaches the maximum tensioning stroke, a boundary line or mark appears. This can be seen on the outside diameter and must not be exceeded.

5-axis multi clamping pyramids
The use of a pyramid is well suited if you want to machine several components on your 5-axis machine in order to increase machine runtimes. In addition, the pyramid’s optimal design provides very good accessibility for short tools during 5-axis machining.
In the GRESSEL program there are 2-fold, 3-fold and 4-fold pyramids in different sizes and with different angles, suitable for every machine table. Special solutions are also possible on request. We have already realized many different pyramids and our sales engineers are at your disposal for detailed advice. We can also very gladly and quickly provide you with 3D data of the desired variant.
The pyramids have fitting and fastening holes so that you can align and fasten the clamping devices directly. You can order all pyramids with our mechanical zero point clamping system gredoc. With the gredoc system you can change the clamping devices very quickly with a repeatability of <0.01 mm.
Well suited for the pyramids are our C2 80, C2 125 centric clamps and our SC2 80, SC2 125 and solinos 65 single clamps.
The pyramids have fitting and mounting holes for direct mounting on the machine table. In addition, it is possible to mount the pyramids on our gredoc or gredoc NRS zero point clamping system using mounting bolts (please order separately).
Tombstones
Tombstones are often used on 4-axis horizontal machining centers. Most machines also have an integrated pallet changer, so that a high machine utilization is achieved and thus non-productive time is minimized. Skillfully planned, a workpiece storage system equipped with a clamping tower can be used for fully automated production, in some cases over several days, for example in ghost shifts at the weekend.
In the GRESSEL program there are five different tower shapes in different dimensions (e.g. as double angle tower, triangle tower, cross tower, cube tower etc.). The towers are available with raw clamping surface or with drilling grid. In addition, we offer complete towers that are already equipped with GRESSEL clamping devices and gredoc modules. The towers have a stable hollow body design for high rigidity with good vibration damping. The clamping surfaces are finely milled on all towers.
The Tombstones are available with 50 mm grid holes or with reduced grid suitable for our GRESSEL clamping devices. The grid holes have a double function for simultaneous positioning and fastening of the clamping devices with fitting screws. There are also Tombstones equipped with our gredoc mechanical zero point clamping system. With the gredoc system you can change the clamping devices very quickly with a repeatability of <0.01 mm.
Our Tombstones are suitable for almost all GRESSEL clamping devices. Frequently, the Tombstones are used with the C2 centering vise and/or in combination with the SC2 single vise for very accurate finished part production. Our double clamps D2, multiple clamps multigrip or our wedge clamps are super suitable for efficient multiple clamping. Our single vise S2 or our machine vise gripos are also used on towers.
All Tombstones are prepared with standard interfaces and fit on pallets size 400 mm and 500 mm for machine tools according to DIN 55 201 and JIS 6337-1980. Other interfaces can also be manufactured on request.
