C5X: Our new 5-axis centric clamp with optimum accessibility
Gressel is coming to EMO in Hanover with a new centric 5-axis workpiece clamping system. Trade visitors can find out more about the “C5X” from 22 to 26 September 2025 in Hall 3, Stand I41.

In addition to the secure fixing of workpieces, 5-axis clamps must above all guarantee a high degree of accessibility. The C5X fulfils this basic requirement with high carrier jaws, which are made highly flexible by the range of jaws used for the “C2.0” centric clamp from Gressel.

Reversible grip jaws are therefore available, as are adapter and pendulum plates or reversible prismatic grip jaws, whereby the respective jaws are changed using two screws. This versatility is supported by a modular system with three jaw heights (142, 181 and 252 mm) and five base body lengths (320, 400, 500, 600 and 800 mm). The C5X with a clamping force of up to 40 kN ensures that the workpiece is reliably fixed without pre-stamping. The top-mounted spindle ensures that this clamping force reaches the workpiece in full. The spindle can be easily exchanged using a quick-change system, with which a basic clamping stroke of 120 mm is available in every clamping length.

The clamping range can be extended depending on the base body length to achieve a maximum clamping width of 691 mm for the longest base body length. With its technical specifications and attractive price, the C5X is particularly suitable for pallet automation.
